Motorvision, Europe´s leading automotive-themed content provider, has selected Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) to distribute its High Definition car and motor channel MOTORVISION TV across the Asian continent. This exciting HD channel launched its broadcast services to Asia via the ABS-1 satellite (at 75° East) HD video platform on C-band.
ABS is providing a comprehensive end-to-end broadcast solution including, turn-around, encryption, HD multiplexing and transmission services for MOTORVISION TV from ABS’ uplink facilities in Munich. The HD channel is transmitted in 1080i format at 12 Mbps for optimal quality.

Motorvision TV, the automotive themed channel on the Sky pay-TV service, announced that it has secured exclusive live broadcast rights of the famous US-American NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for German speaking countries.
The car and motor channel will show at least eleven races of NASCAR’s premier series live. All additional races of the regular Sprint Cup season will be broadcast as highlight programs on Motorvision TV each Monday after the race. The channel will also show various documentaries, driver portraits and behind-the-scene stories from the NASCAR world. Multi Channels Asia (MCA) and Motorvision today announced that MCA has secured the exclusive distribution rights to  MOTORVISION TV – a High Definition European pay TV channel dedicated to the passion and fascination of automobiles. Under the terms of the multi year agreement, MCA will be responsible for launching, distributing and marketing MOTORVISION TV in High Definition across Asia, in such territories as Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, and Vietnam. In Asia MOTORVISION TV will be available in High Definition via Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS-1).

As a special interest channel the big advantage of Motorvision TV is the ability to react directly to the viewers’ wishes. A new program structure, periodically new series and new, attractive host personalities keep on increasing the popularity of Motorvision TV in Germany. High time to expand to further markets!
